This bolt jam I wanted to do something I've never done before- an FPS! I couldn't just put a gun in and call it a day nooooooooooo I HAD to put a paddle ball in it. 🙄
I spent a couple days deliberating on how I would do this; tweening, physics, prayers. I settled on prayer physics. I think I really managed to get a tight feel to it, but I definitely need to make it easier to hit and keep your combo.
I do plan on developing this idea further into a complete FPS, but I'll definitely be changing how the moment to moment control is! Would love any ideas for this!
How to play:
IDEALLY, you'd try to keep your combo up as your turning, but honestly you're not really penalized for it.
Click down when the ball is close to the paddle.
Keep holding it down to let the string out.
Click up to call it back OR just hit the target 🎯

Cute little thing.
The most awesome feeling is when you've just hit the target and it's repositioned behind you.. so you duck the return ball instead of hitting it, quickly turn around, and hit it when it comes back towards you again directly towards the target :P
The imagery that conjures is pretty cool, and you can maintain combo without having to slowly turn around haha
